What is #BlackEquityCon and who is it for?
#BlackEquityCon is a community driven event for the entrepreneurial community by the entrepreneurial community! Since 2017 @BYOBlive @SocialProofPodcast and many of its partners have brought together thousands of Black & Brown Creators, Entrepreneurs, Authors, Tech Leaders, Investors and more to engage, network, and learn from one another! This year our annual in-person gathering will be set for June 9-10th in Miami, Fl at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Miami!

What is included in the cost of my registration?
You will be granted access to our exclusive conference app, which will give you have access to all of the #BlackEquityCon experiences associated with your ticket. All conference tickets include access to all industry sessions, vendor exhibits, and all-access sponsor activations.  Other activities are accessible based on ticket type. What's the difference between a General Admission ticket and a VIP Admission ticket?

What is the agenda of the conference?
Our official programming goes from 9am-6pm June 9-10th! Many guests who arrive the day before will be able to register on site and get their badges for on-site registration! We do recommend arrival on June 8th in order to check-in, get settled, rested and prepped for 9am on June 9th! Workshop, Keynotes and Sessions will be announced via social media and on the website as we get closer to the event!  Please note, sessions and speakers are subject to change and updates will be made for the best experience of the conference.


Where should I stay for #BlackEquityCon?
Our team has negotiated group rates at the exact location of the conference! Enjoy the full conference without any extra uber/lyft rides or paid transportation! Visit our HOTEL GROUP RATE HEREAll room reservation, cancellations, and rates are facilitated by Hyatt Regency Miami. 


When should I check in and out of the hotel?
It is recommended that you check-in on June 8th so that you can fully participate in the conference on the next day starting at 9am! You can check-out either June 10th or 11th as it best fits your schedule. The hotel can hold on to your luggage if you will be leaving the evening of June 10th however our group rates do last all the way to Sunday June 12th for those who want to enjoy the full weekend in MIAMI!


Are meals included with my registration?
Meals will not be provided in your registration, however, we are in the heart of Miami, surrounded by all of the bustling food options.

What will I need after registration in order to seamlessly attend the conference?

About 2-3 weeks before the event date, everyone who has registered will get access to the event app. This app will be your registration ticket on-site for badge pickup and access to the full conference! This allows our team to quickly and efficiently get everyone registered 14-21 days before you arrive! The app will allow you to see all of the sessions, speakers, conference agenda, network with other attendees, vendors and so much more!

Can I cancel my registration?
As indicated on the check-out page, tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable up to 30 days before the event start date! Our team is working very hard and funds are allocated to production, marketing, and event planning on a rolling basis.

What is the dress code?
The dress code is whatever represents yourself best! Come as you are. Be prepared to meet potential business partners, investors, and so much more!

Photo & Video Policy?

Guests are welcome to bring still cameras but may not record sessions in their entirety to protect the intellectual property of #BlackEquityCon and the experience. Our in-house team will be on site capturing videos and photos for the entire event :)

What is the COVID protocol?
We will be following the recommended CDC, State of Florida, and City of Miami Health and Safety Guidelines. As we get closer to the vent we will share those requirements.


Can I see what sessions will be presented before I arrive on site?
Yes. The sessions for the #BlackEquityCon is posted online and on the app prior to the event starting in Miami. You will be able to plan the sessions you want to attend.

How can I find out when someone is scheduled to present?
We have a wonderful app that will not only allow you to access the conference speaker schedule and venue map, but will also allow you to connect and network with other attendees, compete in friendly competitions, and stay up to date with conference events and announcements!

Are there complimentary airport shuttles to the airport?
#BlackEquityCon does not offer free airport shuttles.

If I submitted a speaker proposal and have not been notified if it was accepted, what should I do?
When you submit a proposal, your application will be reviewed by our team. They will be in contact if you have been selected as a speaker. As speaker selection may be on a rolling basis based on needs and availability, please go ahead and register to get the best pricing. If selected as a speaker we will upgrade your pass. There is no need to follow up.
